Trolls

The Trolls of the Living World of Alquennas are of a single race of Trolls. However Trolls are given additional names for where they dwell. They are of the same race; however they adapt to their environment and have learned how to maximize advantages in their native environments. The environment that trolls live in on Alquennas very and have been incorporated in their common name and nomenclatures. Dwelling in the Living World of Alquennas are: Trolls that are:

Forest Dwellers
Swamp Dwellers
Cave Dwellers
Mountain Trolls
Sand Trolls
Water or Sea Trolls
Ice Trolls

They are all the children of the lady of the lands of the dead and hunger for the flesh of intelligent creatures. Elves are considered their favorite delicacy.

Usually living in solitary isolation by choice, it is not too rare for three to five male Trolls to work together in hunting packs or protection of their domains. The females will never work together by choice. Unlike the goblinoid races female Trolls lead and control the Troll territories. The females control the hunting grounds and will allow a specific number of male Trolls to live, hunt and occasionally mate. Males Trolls usually do not interact with female Trolls unless for the purpose to mate of if the male trolls needs the magical or religious services of the female, or for specific religious rituals the males must attend.

The female Trolls are the primary Users of Magick of the Troll race and are the priestesses of their race.

Appearance

Trolls have been called the cast off from Hell itself and are considered one of the most terrifying races in appearance. On first encountering a Troll male a character must make a ferocity roll to avoid panicking and running in horror, a character must make a ferocity roll - 25% when encountering a female Troll as they are larger and more menacing in appearance.

Special Abilities

Trolls have the ability to blend into their surroundings as part of the natural world.

A Troll knows their hunting domain better than any creature which gives them a bonus to tracking, stalking and hunting prey and to a Troll any creature is prey.

Trolls are highly agile for their size and are incredible climbers.

Troll Magick

Most Troll Users of Magick are the females, even though males have the ability of the arcane arts they usually only learn them as a hobby skill. The magick of the Trolls complements their natural abilities and allows them to better manipulate their natural abilities.
