Crystal Rose

The Crystal Rose is one of the rarest of rose varieties in all of the Realms of Alquennas. It is only found in the wild on the continent of Cellenda. Attempts to cultivate the Crystal Rose have failed with the exception of the Duchess of Kent and the Duchess of Dresden.
The Crystal Rose has a green stem and leaves with translucent petals that gives the rose its name. The Crystal Rose has the ability to detect poisons and to help cure them.
1 petal placed into a liquid or placed on top of any food will detect any known poison.
8 petals placed into a mixture of water will stop the effects of any known non-magical poisons.
12 petals placed into a mixture of water and garlic will stop the effects of any known poisons including magical poisons.
Note: the blood of a Hydra is considered a magical poison.
There is a 1% chance that you will find Crystal Rose petals in a shop. In the shop, dried Crystal Rose petals sell for 20 Cr per ounce and fresh Crystal Rose petals sell for 25 Cr per ounce. Please note that if one uses dried Crystal Rose petals, they will need to double the quantity required.
