Danburite - Danburite was first discovered in the town of Danbury in central Kenda. It was then later discovered in Azin. A relatively hard stone, it is used in grinding other stones. Quantities of large deposits of 10 Ct together are not rare. The brown Danburite is a favorite of artisans to make into sanding mediums like sand paper and grinding powders.
Danburite (Clear) Magical Element: Earth and Water, MR 7 The Clear version of this stone is useful in both Earth and Water magicks. Clear Danburite is very useful in magick Vs undead. If one takes Danburite (Clear) and makes a complete circle with it, any undead must make a willpower AR% roll -25% to enter the circle. If an undead creature makes the modified Willpower AR% roll, it can enter the circle but it will be at a disadvantage of -13% to all actions while within the circle. The Danburite (Clear) is worth 80 P per Ct. Danburite (Pink) Magical Element: Earth and Fire, MR 7 Pink Danburite is useful in both Earth and Fire magicks, especially with magicks of protections vs. Lycanthropes. If one takes Danburite (Pink) and makes a complete circle with it, any Lycanthrope must make a willpower AR% roll -25% to enter the circle. If the Lycanthrope makes the modified Willpower AR% roll, it can enter the circle but it will be at a disadvantage of -13% to all actions while within the circle. The Danburite (Pink) is worth 80 P per Ct. Danburite (Yellow) Magical Element: Earth and Air, MR 7 Yellow Danburite is useful in Earth and Air magicks and provides assistance in focusing one’s abilities. For every Ct, the User of Magick has on them that is open to the air, they receive a +3% to targeting a spell up to 12%. The Danburite (Yellow) is worth 80 P per Ct. Danburite (Brown) Magical Element: Earth, MR 7 The Brown version of this stone is useful in Earth magick and provides a bonus of +5% per carat to healing spells. 1 Ct. holds three magical charges and thus the Danburite (Brown) is very useful as a energizing and storage stone. The Danburite (Brown) is worth 80 P per Ct. Danburite (Red) Magical Element: Earth, MR 7 Red Danburite is useful in Fire magicks, especially that of Wards, Arcane and Fire itself. If one takes 1 Ct of Danburite (Red) and uses it in a Wards spell, it increases the PSF% of the caster of the spell by 7%. Additionally, if used in a Fire spell, the relationship of the Danburite (Red) to Fire provides the caster with the benefit of reducing the FP cost of the spell by 3FP. However, this cannot be used to reduce the FP costs of a spell below 1 FP. The Danburite (Red) is worth 100P per Ct. Return to Top |

This last sign is to announce that death's servants have been unleashed to open the way. Death will come screaming from the heavens laying waste and slaughtering all in its path as it prepares to annihilate the Great Houses of light. Only by placing the Scepter of Celestial Light in the Altar of Stone in the Temple of the Azure Crystal located in the White Mountains, can Death be stopped from destroying the Great Houses of Light." Dresden Accord - On the 400th day of the Year of TK 1044, the Alliance of Nations and The Horde Union met in the city of Dresden to negotiate a peace treaty to end the Fourth War with the Horde. Hostilities ended over a year prior to this meeting. Kempley Katrina Isis Elizabeth Andor negotiated the terms of the Dresden Accord for the Alliance. Talimus-Rok negotiated the terms of the Dresden Accord for The Horde Union. The Dresden Accord was signed on the 410th day of TK 1044. The Fourth War with the Horde is over.
Dresden Historical Note: In the year of TK 1043, the Alliance has begun its offensive against the Horde. Lead by High King Rene' Nari' the Alliance forces decide that it is time to take back the Key to Valinnia from the Horde and free its people. Dresden was the first Horde held city in Valinnia to be freed from Horde rule. What is not generally known is that Rene' Nari' had to take Dresden back first using mostly Azinian forces as a sign that the 22 year old "Child King" was serious about the war. Many of the countries that belonged to the Alliance did not think that a 22-year-old Human had the understanding or the ability to beat the Horde. On the first day of spring the Horde and all of the realms of Alquennas discovered that Rene' Arthur Darius Michael Nari' had the understanding and the ability to take on and defeat the Horde. The morning was cold even for early spring as King Rene's forces advanced. The Saurians of the 3rd and 4th scale volunteered to act as the diversionary force that would drive from the north through the mountain path controlled by the Horde. The Saurians then stated once they were through the mountain path they would drive south to the gates of Dresden or hell whichever came first. The Saurians swore a Blood Vow when Rene' Nari' was born in their mind it was about time they proved their absolute loyalty. On the anniversary of this action High King Rene' travels to Valinnia to the mountain pass that is now known as the Blood Pass and places a single Blue Rose on a carved stone, that reads. "Here the loyal soldiers of High King Rene' proved their metal. None who fought here will ever be shamed. Those that fell will be remembered for eternity." Return to Top |

![]() A group of Human ship's carpenters and naval architect are celebrating the holiday from work drinking and being loud when several Dwarven engineers ask them if they would mind shutting up to allow civilized engineers to enjoy a drink. The tavern owner had his cook's servant go get the city guard. The Human naval architect knew what the Dwarf was trying to do and answered the Dwarven gloating with "We are enjoying ourselves, very well actually, thank you." The Human then turned his back on the Dwarf. The Dwarf voice filled with anger. "How dare you turn your back on a Master Engineer?" The Dwarf screamed. "How can one turn on his own back, for I only see one Master Engineer here and that would be me!" replied the Human. The Dwarf, whose face was now crimson, understood the Human just challenged him. "If you are such a master engineer prove it." The Human smiled. "That's easy. I have my drafting tool right here." The competition started. The bet was to design a better way to build ships. After an hour both parties looked over each other's design and were amazed on the quality of each other's work. The Human looked at the Dwarf and stated "You have defeated me honorably." The Dwarf raised up his hands and admitted. "I do not believe so. Your design is good and not just for a Human." The Human offered his hand in friendship and the Dwarf took it proudly and honestly. The Human began. "Your design looks like it would work better. Mine has a problem with gates." The Dwarf looked at the Humans design and stroked his beard. "Barkeep!" The Dwarf commanded. "Bring us your finest wine and if you have Dragon wine, all of it!" The Dwarf and the Human began working on improving and combining each other's design. The Humans and the Dwarves spent several hours working together on the design. Just after midnight, one of the Dwarves began carving the design into one of the tables of the tavern. At daybreak, 11 tables were transformed from serving tables to a single work of engineering beauty. The Dwarf and the Human burned their names into a blank area of each of the transformed tables. On the first table, the design's name, "Dry Dock" was burned into the wood. The Tavern keeper grateful that his tavern was not destroyed did insist that they pay for the tables. The Humans and the Dwarves split the cost of the tables equally. As the 15 Humans and 10 Dwarves left the tavern, the Dwarven master engineer commented. "You know if we get a couple of those earth type mages we could have them create the stone piers, docks and gates and then have them dreg and dig out a section of the harbor near shore. It would cut down months of work." The Human naval architect smiled. "Well the mage's guild hall isn't open right now we would have to wait. It is just over there." He said pointing towards the mages guildhall. The Dwarf smiled from ear to ear and proceeded to lead the band of Human and Dwarves over to the mages guildhall. The Dwarf knocked on the door and when the sleepy voice replied, "We are closed." The Dwarf knocked harder and announced. "I am of the Clan Hammer and I have important work for a mage that could end the war quicker." As they say, the rest is history. Seven days after midsummer's day in TK 1030, the first Dry Dock for construction and repairing sea and ocean going ships was completed. Windmills and tidal watermills that pump water in and out of the dry dock power the dry dock. The Dwarven Master Engineer was so impressed with the earth mages work on constructing the gates for the dry dock that he engraved 'Approved by a Dwarven Master Engineer' on them. Return to Top |

Dust Devils - Dust Devils are well-formed and long-lived whirlwinds that are strong and can measure from three feet wide and a few yards tall to more than 11 yards wide and over 1000 yards high. Dust Devils' motion is primarily upwards and they do not usually cross a great distance. Dust Devils can, however, sometimes grow dangerous, large, and cross great distances. Thus, they can become a threat to property and to characters. Dust Devils are related to tornadoes, as they are both vertically oriented in their motion and that they are a weather spectacle. Dust Devils are not as strong as tornadoes, but on rare occasions, they can turn into a tornado. Return to Top |

![]() As the Dwarves mined the deeper reaches of the planet, they discovered numerous magma tubes. Most of the tube walls were comprised of thick strong stone that was slowly being melted by the magma as it traveled through them. However, some of the tubes were comprised of Obsidian with white flakes in it. Snowflake Obsidian had been known for centuries. This darker, richer, and purer form of Snowflake Obsidian was different. It did not melt at any temperature. The Dwarven Snowflake Obsidian has a uniform, strong, and extremely durable crystal structure that allows it to knap other stones including the other Dwarven stones and diamonds.
